Brian F. Bailey
A graduate of Saint Mary's University (B.Sc.-Hons Mathematics-cum laude) and Dalhousie University (LLB), Brian has practiced law in Nova Scotia for over 40 years. Brian is the firm’s managing lawyer and practices law in the areas of criminal law, family law, personal injury, corporate/commercial law, wills and estates, and property law.
Brian served with the Canadian Forces for 22 years. He was the Commanding Officer of 33 (HFX) SVC BN and 35 (SYDNEY) SVC BN. He served as Halifax Garrison Commander and at the time of his retirement he was 36CBG ACOS (ADM). He attained the rank of LCol. He received the Canada Decoration (CD) and the former HLCol of 3 MP Regt.
Brian & Jeannie live in Halifax, Nova Scotia and have 4 children, and several grandchildren.
Mark Bailey
Mark was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He received his B.A. from Saint Mary's University in 2003 and his LLB from Dalhousie University in 2007.
While in law school, Mark was an Alistair Fraser scholar, acheived Dean's List academic standing and was presented with the George Isaac Smith (Ike) Award upon graduation. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 2008 and to the bar in Nova Scotia in 2009.
Prior to joining Bailey and Associates, Mark practiced at two national law frims in Toronto, Ontario. Mark's current practice is focused in the area of criminal law.
Graeme Bailey
Graeme grew up in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. He completed his B.Sc. at Saint Mary’s University in 2007 and his LLB at the University of Birmingham in 2010. He was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2012. Graeme practices Real Estate, Wills and Estates, Criminal Law and Corporate Law.
Graeme served with the Canadian Armed Forces as a reservist from 2014-2019.
Peter Kidston
Peter obtained his Bachelor of Arts and LLB from Dalhousie University and went on to be called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1984. Peter’s practice areas include Criminal Law, Real Estate Transactions, Estate Planning and Probate, Civil Litigation and Corporate Law.
Peter is an avid basketball fan and has spent several years volunteering as a youth coach.
Jeremy Gay
Jeremy is a graduate of Dalhousie University (LLB, B.Sc.-Hons) and has been practicing law in Nova Scotia for over 30 years. His areas of practice include Real Estate Transactions, Disputes involving Land, Construction Projects, Contracts, Debt Collections, Builders’ (Mechanics’) Liens, Estate Planning and Probate, Company Matters, Commercial Leases and Notary Public services.
In addition to his practice, Jeremy has been a community volunteer for the past thirty-five years coaching youth basketball/baseball and serving successively as a member of the Dartmouth Kinsman and Cole Harbour Lions Clubs.
Keith Ferguson
Keith was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. With over thirty years of business experience, Mr. Ferguson is the General Manager of Bailey and Associates.
Keith worked for Scotiabank for over twenty years which helped him acquire expertise in such fields as organizational dynamics, management and commercial credit. Keith has worked as a financial planner for many years and also in other fields such as automotive, software development, office machines and lease financing.
With his wealth of financial experience and business knowledge, Mr. Ferguson is able to assist our lawyers when dealing with commercial aspects of your legal matter.
